As part of my project i have started looking into movement and posture so looked onto youtbe to view a video slow motion to capture movement quickly andso that i could understand more easily.
Heres my drawing based on this video:
They are continuous line and done onto pre printed paper and in black gouache originally drawn with a pen... I quite like these as you can really capture how a swan moves,so you can get great detail in the way they position themself and the way their body works....
I also did another with flamingos but couldn't find the video again, but got the video from youtube...
Originally i tried to draw as the video played (black) even when i had slowed it down it was very hard to keep up so lacks alot of detail in it.. So i then stop and started the video every second (red) and i got much more of a clearer idea of how the flamingo behaved. Flamingos are very interesting to watch especially when there in a group. It's like there very close and entwined with one another for why they mime one anothers actions.
I would like to do more of these as the postures are very interesting and are relevant to my project right now after looking into swan lake!
